The second award for the island that has recorded the most species by area goes to wonderful Tory Island, where the team recorded an amazing number of 208 species by kilometre square. Next came Cape Clear with 130 species, Bere Island with 67 species, Clare Island with 52 and Inis Mór with 35. Well done to the team on Tory Island.

The National Biodiversity Data Centre is an Initiative of the Heritage Council and is operated under a service level agreement by Compass Informatics. The data centre is funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Heritage Council.
